VOLTE/RCS and Connectivity Stacks

Connectivity plays a very critical role in delivering an enhanced user experience. our IMS based VoLTE client ensures optimal quality of experience whereas connectivity stacks such as DLNA, Miracast and MirrorLink ensure seamless connectivity across devices.

VoLTE

The VoLTE client is based on Sysmetlab’s robust and highly interoperable IMS Client and our media engine which is available on multiple platforms and devices including iOS, Android, Windows XP, and MAC. It is compliant with GSMA IR92/IR94, 3GPP IMS and IETF SIP RFC specifications.

Some key features of the VoLTE client are:

  • The IMS Client controls VoLTE signaling for optimal QoS usage to ensure quality for both voice and video calls
  • Besides Voice and Video, Sysmetlab's IMS Client also supports supplementary services, server-less multi-party videoconferencing; stand alone messaging (SMS over IP), SRVCC and GSMA defined Rich Client Services (RCS) like User capability discovery, File Transfer, Content sharing, Chat & Presence
  • It supports NAT/Firewall traversal protocols like STUN and ICE and incorporates adaptive algorithms to deliver high Quality of Experience even under poor network conditions
  • Architecturally, it is designed to allow easy distribution of modules between the mobile Application Processor and Modem Processor for optimal power consumption when supporting VoLTE calls.
  • It supports IPv4 and IPv6 transport and IPSEC security as defined by the 3GPP IMS standard

Key differentiators:

  • Platform abstraction for Easy integration with radio interface layer (RIL)
  • Multi Layered modular Architecture
  • Proven Reliability
  • Assured call quality
  • Optimized for targeted platform.

Connectivity Stacks:

Sysmetlab’s portfolio of connectivity stacks includes Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), Bluetooth, Miracast and Mirrorlink. These software stacks find applications in a number of use cases such as In Vehicular Infotainment (IVI), connected home etc.

DLNA

Sysmetlab’s DLNA stack supports all the Device classes applicable to the Mobile Handheld Devices and the Home Network Devices. This allows products developed using Sysmetlab stack to store, play, render and control remote devices for purpose of Multimedia playback. Sysmetlab DLNA stack also enables Rear Seat Entertainment through the car head unit.

Mirrorlink

Sysmetlab’s Mirrorlink Client and Server stack allows the automotive user to use the Mobile device through the car Headunit.

Key Differentiators:

  • Portable across multiple OS platforms like Android, Automotive Linux, Windows/Windows Phone and iOS with multimedia plug-ins available for easy integration into these platforms
  • The stacks support key audio codecs like AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AAC-ADTS, AMR-WB, AMR-NB and key video codecs like H.264 (BP/HP/MP), MPEG4-SP/ASP and the latest HEVC video codec ensuring high quality A/V in the infotainment space.
  • Feature rich solution with wide range of components available in-house to address most scenarios
